I find myself in a curious place…thinking about the stories we tell.

Typewriter with the words What’s your story? ad Storyteller

The stories we tell to hide the truth.

The stories we tell to make us feel better.

The stories we tell to make us look good.

The stories we tell to just make it through.

The stories we tell to be funny.

The stories we tell to connect.

The stories we tell to survive.

The stories we tell to make us sound smart.

The stories we tell to make others feel bad.

The stories we tell to make others feel good.

The stories we tell to make others feel guilty.

The stories we tell to avoid feeling guilty.

The stories we tell to hurt others feelings.

The stories we tell to hold power over others.

The stories we tell to cover up other stories.

The stories we tell that turn into our truths.

The stories we tell to keep the truth from being heard.

The stories we tell to a few select people.

The stories we tell that no one hears.

Whose stories are we telling?
