Separation Anxiety
I took my first trip without you.
It’s short. Only two days.
(at least that’s what I keep telling myself.)
And separation anxiety is real.
I wonder what your day will be like without me.
Will you miss me preparing meals for you?
Will you look for me to cuddle up next to?
Will you be anxious when I’m not around.
I wonder what my day will be like without you.
I think I will miss the way that you look at me in the morning.
Or that before my alarm chimes you are already up and moving around.
I’m already nervous about leaving you at home.
Please don’t be mad at me.
I’m not abandoning you.
Your humom loves you.
I left you in good hands.
Auntie Jessica is there to love on you and care for you.
And even though I’m not around
I’m sending you lots of love.
My sweet pups.
Be a good boy and good girl.
I’ll be home soon.
